"Gorgeous, sun-struck acoustic soul" - Globe & Mail

Vancouver's Reid Jamieson shines his light with an incredible voice, therapeutic lyrics, and magical way with melodies. A regular on CBC/PRX’s Vinyl Cafe, and winner of the grand prize for folk in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, he has recorded with Samantha Parton (Be Good Tanyas), Sarah Harmer and various members of Blue Rodeo. Known for his compelling covers from Elvis to Mary Margaret O’Hara, Reid recently took part in a special ensemble production with the Cowboy Junkies, and will record a duet with Margo Timmins and a host of other lovely ladies as part of a larger collection in 2015.

Speaking of duets, Reid can often be found performing as an entertaining duo with his saucy wife and songwriting partner Carolyn Victoria Mill. Along with the Lennon win, this creative couple wrote their way into the Vancouver Folk Music Festival by winning 1st prize in the Pickin' a Folk Star Contest, and are finalists in multiple song writing contests internationally. Together they will release a country-soul flavoured album (their first singing together on disc) titled 'Juniper's Kitchen' in October 2014. The new record features a dozen songs written and performed by the husband and wife duo. Special guests Paul Rigby on pedal steel (Neko Case), Anne Lindsay on fiddle (Blue Rodeo), Keith Rose on bass and various others join what can only be described as a sweet sounding labour of love.

A male k.d. Lang or Roy Orbison's long lost son; the comparison's continue to come in but Reid remains uniquely himself. Don’t miss this very special show. The St James concert will include the Reid Jamieson Band performing 2 sets with special guests (TBA).
