“We have fallen into this place where everything is music.”  ~ Rumi

SongRoots Bursary Fundraiser
SongRoots takes place at Camp Fircom on gorgeous Gambier Island, where participants enter a rich world of diverse community and sensational music making with others who love to sing. Daily singing classes in all different music genres are taught by open-hearted and talented instructors. It is a time of outdoor beauty, warm connections, campfires, uplifting community singing celebrations and most of all, unbridled delight and fun!

Chris Mann – Host, Birthday Celebrant & Fundraiser Coordinator
Chris is offering this concert to her networks of friends and community of choristers as an uplifting musical evening in joy and appreciation for life! Chris is a high energy soul who is filled with deep gratitude for good health, music, nature, photography, social justice, optimism and engaging friendships. Formerly an innovative and passionate school Principal and motivational presenter, she now delights in forest dog walks, community gardening, kayaking & outdoor adventures, and singing as often as possible in choirs (City Soul and Rhythm ‘n’ Roots) and small groups. She encourages us all to STAY GOLDEN – to see the light in others and reveal the light within ourselves to celebrate this shared adventure called Life with every ounce of heart & compassion possible.

“When they ask you how you live you can tell ‘em you were gold, tell ‘em you were gold.”  Pharis and Jason Romero

Sarina Partridge – from Minnesota
Sarina arrived on the planet in the nick of time – ready to teach her original songs of joy and heartache, and wildly healing visions … to groups of people hungry for the shared bliss of singing together. The stories of her ancestors unfurl themselves in Sarina’s richly imaginative songs. The essence of everything living and gone, fully present and ethereal, woven into respect for the natural world is the alchemy of Sarina’s love songs to the earth and every one of us. Join in learning and singing Sarina’s songs and awaken to a hope you haven’t yet dreamed into being.  “We are the light.”
