As 2024 Canadian Folk Music Award Winners for “Traditional Album of the Year”, Jocelyn Pettit & Ellen Gira are a dynamic fiddle & cello duo. With Jocelyn on fiddle and Ellen on cello, they fuse traditional and contemporary music styles to create a powerfully uplifting and soulful performance. Their music has been described as “dazzling” (FolkWorld Magazine), and “simply exquisite” (Folk London Magazine).

Each an accomplished musician in their own right, with extensive performance history and accolades, Jocelyn & Ellen found together a kindred musical spirit and joined forces in Glasgow in 2018. Since then, the duo has been gracing stages and captivating audiences in North America, the UK and Europe. They have been featured in live broadcasts on CBC, BBC, and Sweden Radio P2, and performed at festivals including Vancouver Folk Music Festival (CAN), Summerfolk Music Festival (CAN), Celtic Colours International Festival (CAN), New World Festival (USA), Celtic Connections (UK), and Urkult Festival (SWE).

This tour celebrates the release of new album, “Here to Stay”. For this tour, Jocelyn & Ellen are joined by exceptional guest guitarist, Everest Witman. Together, their instruments weave a rhythmic, textured sound with nuanced fiddle-cello-guitar interplay. Complemented with vocal harmonies and lively Canadian stepdancing, the trio bring life and fire into original tunes, and high- energy repertoire from North America, Scotland, Ireland, and Scandinavia.
