2025 JUNO award winner Jake Vaadeland is a self taught multi-instrumentalist and songwriter from Saskatchewan, Canada. His traditional sound and unique style could be defined as a blend of Bluegrass and 50s Rockabilly. Jake strives to write and play with a focus on storytelling and messages that he hopes his audience can relate to, all packaged in foot stomping, high energy performances with The Sturgeon River Boys.
Recent collaborations include joining platinum selling Canadian country artist Tebey for the release of their single ‘Wake Me Up’ (The Bluegrass Rendition), a cross Canada tour with country supergroup Hunter Brothers, and a U.S. tour with The Dead South. Jake was also invited to perform the Ian Tyson classic ‘Four Strong Winds’ with Noeline Hofmann at the legendary finale performance of the Edmonton Folk Festival, creating a powerful musical moment for thousands of people.
A gifted storyteller, Jake has captivated audiences globally and earned an impressive 9x Saskatchewan Country Music Awards, along with 3x Saskatchewan Music Awards in his home province.
Following the success of last year’s debut holiday tour, Jake Vaadeland is back with a second Goodness Gracious, It’s Christmas! tour - bringing festive cheer, timeless music, and his signature style to theatres across Canada once again. The show will feature music from his upcoming Christmas EP, including favourites “Jingle Bell Rock” and “Beautiful Star of Bethlehem,” along with Jake's newest singles "Great Joy & Happiness" & "Everybody Loves My Little Darling".
Christmas is a special time of year when friends and neighbors come together, and I’m excited to present our Goodness Gracious, It's Christmas Tour once again. Our program will have a little something for everyone, both young and old", says Jake.
Jake will once again be joined by his band, The Sturgeon River Boys, whose standout musicianship and stage presence bring an electric, high-spirited energy to every performance.
