Carrying the torch of the 21st century balladeer as an interpreter of our changing times, Welsh troubabour Martyn Joseph gives a voice to our personal and communal stories in the spirit of Woody Guthrie and Bruce Springsteen. Having toured and appeared with artists including Suzanne Vega, Joan Armatrading and Art Garfunkel, Joseph's position as a singer/songwriter of enduring talent seems assured. Hailed by occasional writing partner Tom Robinson as "one of the most charismatic and electrifying performers in Britain today," his songs often use lyrical narrative forms to speak to his audience on subjects ranging from social injustice to the joys and pains of love.
