| This week I featured new (to me!) releases from Cape Verde singer Mayra Andrade, French reggae-hip hop cover band The Dynamics, French cabaret combo Rupa & the April Fishes, Canadian blues guitarist Jeff Healey's final album, California Cajun band Creole Belles, French Django-billy trio Samarabalouf, Steve Earle's son Justin Townes Earle (wonderful country folk songs), and a little anti-war set from Karan Casey and Capercaillie (new releases on Compass) and June Tabor. Also played the extremely long and emotionally charged new version of Night Drive / NW Passage from Garnet Rogers' latest CD (he played a great concert at the Rogue Folk Club in Vancouver that night.) | ||||
