Rogue 33 RPM | June 7 | This Day in Rogue History
On Sunday June 7th 1998 Pied Pumkin staged a matinee and an evening show at the Wise Hall to conclude their 4 gigs in 3 days stint at the end of an extensive tour of BC and Alberta in support of the CD Plucking DeVine.
In 1996 we brought another fabulous trad band from Eire, Nomos featuring the remarkable singer songwriter John Spillane and the incredible concertina player Niall Vallely. They played to an appreciative full house at the Wise Hall (scroll down to page 2 for details of the show)
On June 7th 1989 we presented - for the first time - one of England's finest singers - June Tabor - at the Vancouver East Cultural Centre with Welsh jazz pianist Huw Warren. What a voice she has!!!
