Keep in Touch

There are two ways you can receive these updates automatically:

Hi everyone

I've spent the last couple of days traveling back from Memphis and recovering from the trip. The annual pilgrimage to Folk Alliance is an intense experience, combining countless showcases, DJ meetings, visits to local music venues, restaurants and museums, and cruising the Exhibit Hall. There is not a lot of time for sleep. I returned with a huge pile of CDs and am currently digging through the rubble to find the musical gems hidden within. The whole experience is thoroughly life-affirming and plenty of the music is both surprising and inspirational. I'll have a Blog with photos on the Rogue website within the next day or two.

Now I'm back, and there is much to catch up on. Starting with this weekend's concert (Malinky, Sunday March 2nd, at St. James Hall, 3214 West 10th Avenue at 8pm). But first, don't miss this on PBS tonight:

Pete Seeger - The Power Of Song, 9pm on KCTS 9 (Shaw Cable Channel 27 in Vancouver)

We saw this film at the Folk Alliance. It is very moving, and a great demonstration of the power of music and the amazing story of the man himself. Not to be missed!
