Van Django is an acoustic string ensemble made up of four of Canada's most talented and eclectic musicians; violinist Cameron Wilson, guitarist Budge Schachte, guitarist/cellist Finn Manniche and bassist Brent Gubbels. Van Django's music is punchy, driving and rhythmically inventive, combining a wealth of musical influences while maintaining their roots in the gypsy jazz made famous by the 1930's Quintet of the Hot Club of France. Experience this foursome in an action packed musical universe they call, "acoustic string hot jazz!".

To say that Lache Cercel (pronounced almost like Lackey Churchill) is a classically trained violinist from Romania would be like saying that Eric Clapton can play the guitar. He is an enormously gifted musician, equally at home with the classics, jazz or gypsy music. A devotee of Stephane Grappelli and of Yehudi Menuhin, Lache can bring "serious" music down to earth, and make gypsy jazz soar into the highest echelons. With Lache, you never quite know what he's going to do next, but you can rest assured that it will be brilliant music!

The Dusty Flowerpot Cabaret will begin the evening with their 30's style choreography. They will also provide free swing dance lessons at the start of the evening.
