Rogue Folk Club Artistic Director Steve Edge, in the studios of CiTR. Note the Manchester United cap!

Saturday August 4, 2007

This week I interviewed English guitar legend Martin Simpson about his new CD, Prodigal Son. He played at the Rogue the previous evening and was still in town just prior to flying to Alberta for the Canmore and Edmonton Folk Festivals. It's a superb CD, and he continues to outdo himself with each successive album.

Next week I'll be at the Edmonton Folk Music Festival, so Andrea & Arthur Berman of CiTR's bluegrass show, Pacific Pickin', will be hosting the show. At the present time there are no plans to broadcast from Edmonton ... I usually phone in a report. Might try something a bit more ambitious this time. Or not. Stay tuned, folks ....
