| This week, local scribe Tony Montague loaned me the Carla Bruni CD to commemorate the 40th anniversary Student Riots in Paris in 1968! A second track was requested by a listener. I don't think I've ever played music by the spouse of a head of state before! Added a couple of songs for Cinco de Mayo, some Danish music just because I can, a delightful Kiwi trio Pacific Curls, new releases by Tab Benoit, Van Morrison (OK, it's been out for a few months, but I only just found it. Wonderful stuff!!), Canada's Porkbelly Futures, Suzy Bogguss, and some newly-acquired Kathryn Tickell. Also did phone interviews with Norah Rendell (Vancouver-born Celtic musician, now living in the Twin Cities), and Patty Larkin. | ||||
