High energy, versatile Vancouver singer LJ Mounteney rocked The Rogue's 36th Anniversary show last week at the Get Back - Unplugged show. What a great night that was!
Now she brings another eclectic mix of music and musicians to the Rogue to celebrate the release of her exciting new 13 song blues and roots album Mama Danced! This evening will feature originals and covers from the album as well as well loved roots and blues gems and features an all-star cast of Vancouver musicians and singers in the band: Jerry Cook (sax), Geeta Das (trumpet), Cole Tinney (keyboards), Jon Roper (guitar), Linda Kidder (bass / vocals), and Allen Dionne (drums).
Tickets are available here up to 3pm today, and at the door after 7pm. Watch-At-Home tickets are also available right up to show time.
We advise you to arrive early, as L J is expecting a lot of ardent fans and family members to join the fun. Oh, and bring your dancing shoes! We will leave some space for dancing and swaying and grooving!

This week on The Saturday Edge On Folk (8am to noon on www.citr.ca and 101.9fm) I'll feature music by many of the artists coming to the Vancouver Folk Music Festival in July
There will also be concert previews, of course, including Rogue shows with Laura Cortese, and Karan Casey, and also Indigenous Blues diva Crystal Shawanda (who plays the Mel Lehan Hall on June 2nd), and desert blues combo Tamikrest - the Pink Floyd of the desert (who play The Massey Theatre in New Westminster on May 26th).
