Keep in Touch

There are two ways you can receive these updates automatically:

Hi everyone

The October issue of the Rogue Folk Review is now available for download from our website - which has just been updated with lots more juicy concert news! Some of you will receive it in the mail in the next day or two. If you recently purchased a membership online or by mail, but have opted not to receive the magazine in the post, you can pick up your membership card at the next gig you attend.

This weekend we celebrate Thanksgiving with two nights of revelry with Los Paperboys at St. James Hall. We'd love to see you at one or both of the shows. There'll be lots of dancing and lots of fun for fans of Celtic music, Cuban music, Mexican music, Bluegrass, and, well, whatever else they decide to serve up. It's a great band, and they are very animated on stage. Tickets will be available at the door for both nights, as well as at our usual outlets: Highlife Records, Rufus' Guitar Shop, and Zulu Records.

I'm just listening to the new Bellowhead CD, Hedonism. You can expect one or two tracks on The Edge On Folk this weekend. Plus the new Mavis Staples CD, Frazey Ford, music from the latest Sing Out! magazine CD, Moussu T E Lei Jovents from Marseilles, and a new collaboration between Bob Brozman and two great Irish musicians - John McSherry and Donal O'Connor. Plus concert previews and all sorts of mayhem. Tune in to CiTR 101.9fm or www.citr.ca from 8am to noon on Saturday. I'll be listening for you!

Cheers for now
Steve

P.S. the full news update is in the new Rogue Folk Review. I'm off to the land of nod now. It's been a busy week!
