Rogue 33 RPM | June 17 | This Day in Rogue History

On this auspicious date in 2007 we presented Whiskey Hollow Bound at St. James Hall, featuring six fabulous local old time / bluegrass bands. They had just released a CD with each band contributing a couple of songs. We had a full house. What a show!!

The Mountain Bluebirds

Dyad

Redgrass

Plough

Viper Central

The Breakmen

In 2006 we brought together a world music double bill at St. James with Silk Road
(led by Chinese pipa player Qiu Xia He and her partner guitar wizard Andre Thibault) and
versatile guitarist, percussionist, and jungle animal noise simulator Celso Machado (Brazil)

Back in 1995 we presented Seattle's Cathie Whitesides & Hank Bradley at the Wise Hall. Fabulous entertainers! You can read all about them on page 2 of our June 1995 edition.

And in 1989, for the remarkable price of just $8 you could have witnessed the James Keelaghan Trio at the Wise Hall. Jim was accompanied by Kathy Cook on mandolin and Bill Eaglesham on bass. (Bill passed away in May 2020. R.I.P.) Scroll down to page 3 of our June 1989 edition for details of this concert.
