On this date in 2008, Quebec native and Canadian "slow-hand" guitarist and smooth operatin' singer songwriter Ray Bonneville performed at St. James Hall. 

Back in 1996 we presented an enthralling Canadian double-bill to launch Canada Day weekend at the Wise Hall with Calgary's Chilean-born guitar wizard Oscar Lopez ("the only man I know who can make the nylon strings of an acoustic guitar s c r e a m !" - Martin Simpson) and Montreal-born, Yellowknife resident Tracy Riley.
