Hi everyone
What an incredible show we had last week with Alasdair Fraser & Natalie Haas! And what about those dancers? Especially the six dancers known as A Spot Of Scotch. This might have been one of the best shows we have ever had!
How do we follow that?
Well, tonight we have Ukulele Night at St. James Hall (3214 West 10th) at 7pm hosted by the inimitable Ralph Shaw, King of the Ukulele. Bring your uke, or just come along and sing along with a fine selection of songs you know and love - accompanied by 100 or more ukuleles!
And then we have a fabulous show with North Carolina's Chatham County Line tomorrow night!
These four guys gather around one microphone in the traditional bluegrass style, and their harmonies are stunning. They are also superb instrumentalists and their delivery is both exemplary and exhilarating! Stylistically they may be closer to The Avett brothers and Old Crow Medicine Show than to Bill Monroe and Flatt and Scruggs, but that means it will be some party! Come on down and witness one of the hottest new bands in acoustic music, tomorrow night - Wednesday January 22nd at 8pm at The Rogue House at St. James hall. There are still tickets available at Highlife Records and at Rufus' Guitar Shop, and of course, online where you can also find more info about this amazing band.
See you at the Rogue!
