We have added an exciting show on June 9th. Russell deCarle (the voice of Prairie Oyster) returns with his new trio for a concert at White Rock's Coast Capital Theatre. We are hoping to establish a connection with the theatre so that we can add a second performance for visiting artists from time to time, and we are especially excited about teaming up with Alive Drive Interactive, www.alivedriveinteractive.com, which is a state of the art video and audio production mobile with unlimited potential for live streaming and recording concerts. The Russell deCarle Trio show will be available as a live webcast, and will be made available to you - our devoted egroup members - free of charge. We will send you the access code next week.
We also have details of the Mission Folk Music Festival ticket deal for Rogues.
1. Russell deCarle, Monday June 9th, 8pm, Coast Capital Theatre (1532 Johnston St., White Rock)
A night of music and stories from the road hosted by Russell deCarle, the voice of Canada's own Prairie Oyster. Live from the set of Barefoot In The Park, Russell will perform songs from his latest CD - Under The Big Sky - and Prairie Oyster favourites and more. He will perform with his trio featuring Steve Briggs (guitar) and Denis Keldie (accordion) Tickets for the show are only available from the White Rock Players Box Office www.whiterockplayers.ca
2. Mission Folk Festival ticket deal
The Mission Folk Music Festival takes place July 25 - 27 in Fraser River Heritage Park, Mission - 80km east of Vancouver on Hwy 7. This year's line-up includes Dervish, Guy Davis, Corey Harris, The Sweet Lowdown, Alpha Yaya Dialloand a whole lot more! The full programme will be announced later this week on the festival website www.missionfolkmusicfestival.ca
Tickets for Rogue members - you may purchase tickets for your family and friends too - are as follows:
Adult Rogue pass $75 + GST (with camping $100 + GST)
Senior Rogue pass $55 (with camping $75 )
Youth Rogue pass $50 (with camping $70 )
Camping is in your own tent or camper and there are flush toilets and hot water showers on the campsite, which is directly behind the main stage.
We will have online tickets set up as soon as possible on our website so stay tuned!
You can also pay for your tickets at any of our upcoming concerts.
3. Vancouver Folk Festival Ticket deal expires Sunday June 8th!!
We have early bird tickets to this year's event on sale on our website for the exclusively low price of $130 per adult for the weekend (July 18-20) Rogue members can purchase as many tickets as they like for their friends. Deadline is June 8th.
4. The Edge On Folk
Heather McCain will host The Edge On Folk this week (Saturday 8am to noon on CiTR fm 101.9 and www.citr.ca) so tune in to hear new music from Colleen Rennison and so much more.
